Tanegashima Driving School

I was accepted for a training camp to obtain the large vehicle type 2 license in 2021. At that time, the license was already limited to medium-sized vehicles of 8 tons, so I was able to obtain it in about 20 days during the good season of August.
I still remember vividly how all the staff were nice and warm-hearted, how life on the island was slow, and how it was a very enjoyable training camp with tours of the space center, splashing around on the beach, and recreational activities like BBQs.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it may be difficult to take the same measures as we did back then, but we still wholeheartedly recommend Tanegashima Driving School to anyone considering taking Driving Camp.
It is also eligible for the education and training grant system, and the fact that large and Class 2 vehicles are eligible for subsidies was also very attractive.
If you already have a regular driver's license and are considering a large or class 2 vehicle, we recommend renting a moped from the rental bike shop near the port. With a moped, you can get to Nakatane and Minamitane in about 40 minutes, making it a fun place to spend your days off.

The friendly telephone service from the reception, the warm atmosphere of all the instructors, the encouragement between the students... everything was wonderful.

I decided over the phone whether to study at Driving School in Kobe or here. There is no disadvantage to coming from other regions to study here.

Rather than attending Driving School in town where there are so many students that it is difficult to receive driving and theory lessons, it would be much better for your life to come to Tanegashima Driving School, stay at a nearby guesthouse, and study there.

The instructors are all extremely kind, encouraging all the students and showing their commitment to helping them grow together. They're like the uncles and big brothers and sisters in the neighborhood! It's great that there aren't any scary instructors!

I can get my license in 10 days.
This is Driving School that makes you want to drive more and more safely! I highly recommend it. Next time I'll come with a regular car.
