During my spring break in my second year of university, I went to an automatic transmission driving training camp. It was a big two weeks in my life.
I was taught by about 20 teachers. There are differences in compatibility and each teacher has their own way of conveying things, so some teachers were strict and scary, but I don't think any of them said anything wrong. I was sometimes depressed after receiving harsh criticism, but I realized that driving a car comes with that kind of responsibility.
Since we only had two weeks, there were many assignments and it was not easy. However, through the theory and practical classes, I was able to reflect on my position as a pedestrian and gain awareness and responsibility as a driver.
The manager of the dormitory was very kind, and the two female teachers who came to inspect the dormitory were also very polite and attentive. Above all, the teachers were friendly with each other, and I think that atmosphere said it all. These two weeks helped me grow as a person, and in the end, it was such a good school that I didn't want to graduate. Thank you very much.

May 2022 Regular Motorcycle Training Camp Graduates
One of the instructors was Mr. Igarashi, who had very high level motorcycle skills and was very helpful. The other instructors also gave detailed explanations which was very helpful.
This time, the training camp was held at a nearby dedicated dormitory called N Village, which was built in 2017, so the baths and toilets were clean.
A place I would recommend to friends!
It's also rural in a good way, so it's recommended for city dwellers who want to refresh themselves.

P.S. If it weren't for the coronavirus pandemic, I would have liked to visit Niigata Racecourse...

If you get a chance to meet Yokoyama-sensei in the manual, you're in luck. He will thoroughly teach you the secrets of half-clutch and intermittent clutch, which are the most important in manual operation. I think your driving skills will be significantly different depending on whether or not you receive instruction from him.
We got along well and he shared some very useful information with me, including the right mindset for driving, his opinions on the current state of roads and pedestrians, and how to communicate with manual transmission cars.
As other reviews have said, there are certainly some terrible teachers. I am the type of person who can tolerate it, and the majority of teachers are kind and polite. However, among them, Yokoyama Sensei helped me a lot. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to him.

I went to a training camp with a 2 week AT limited license! At first I was nervous and sad, but I quickly made friends and the teachers at the driving school were really kind, so I looked forward to every drive. It depends on the teacher, but some teachers will talk a lot and it will motivate you! I am truly grateful that I was able to pass the exam in the end. The nature of Niigata is truly soothing. I enjoyed this training camp so much that in the end I didn't want to leave Niigata. I would love to visit again! I've seen some harsh comments, but I don't think any of my other friends have had that bad of a teacher. . I especially felt that Hayami Sensei, Sugawara Sensei, and Okura Sensei were wonderful! It was a really fun two weeks! Thank you to the teachers! I love it!

I stayed at their facility for just under two weeks during my automatic vehicle driver's license training camp.
I would like to thank all the teachers for their help. The staff at the ID Center also treated me with kindness.

Pros:
・Good value for money
・The food at N Village is delicious
・A place where you can relax and enjoy the countryside
The classes are very easy to understand
- You can access the written test challenge content at any time from the website, which is extremely useful for studying before getting your full driver's license.
- Conveniently located near Aeon, Uniqlo, Lawson, etc.

The only meal I had was lunch, and I had to cook my own meals the rest of the time, but the dormitory was in a very convenient location so it wasn't a problem at all.
Not only were there convenience stores, but there were also large supermarkets and many restaurants.
The room facilities were also excellent.
At first, the lesson schedule was tough and I felt busy, but as I progressed through the stages, I got used to driving and even began to feel more relaxed.
The instructors are all very kind people.
The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere at the school is great.
I really highly recommend this school.

It was my first time to have Driving Camp, but it was a lot of fun. Although I lived in a twin room, I quickly became friends with my roommate. The atmosphere of the entire driving school is very good, and the instructors are all very friendly. Thanks to the wonderful environment, I was able to concentrate on my lessons. Also, if I ever get another license, I would like to use Driving Camp again.

The accommodation facilities were very complete. This time, I chose a single room, but it was so spacious that it was a waste to stay alone. There was a curfew, but basically you can spend your time freely. I was also happy that internet access was available. It was Self Cook, so I had to prepare everything except my lunch box, but there was a supermarket and a convenience store nearby, so it wasn't a problem even if I wasn't good at cooking for myself. Actually, I have never cooked for myself. Thanks to the easy-to-understand instructions, I was able to proceed smoothly with the lessons. I think it was a really good driving school!

The school is in a very nice environment and the atmosphere is excellent.
There are several accommodation plans available, and I chose Self Cook.
I have a lot of likes and dislikes, so I wanted to eat what I like for breakfast and dinner.
We had lunch at the driving school, which was also delicious.
The accommodation is an apartment in a very convenient location.
There was a convenience store about a 3-minute walk away, and there was also a large supermarket, so there were plenty of food options.
The lessons were a little difficult at first, but once I got used to it, I really enjoyed it.
My instructors were very kind, so I think I was able to have a very good driving experience.
It was a little far from Tokyo, but I didn't mind because I was able to live in such a great environment during the training camp.
In fact, I'm dying to come back here again soon.

I was about to get a job, so I needed to get my license as soon as possible. Therefore, I decided to participate in this Driving Camp. I thought the school had a good environment where I could concentrate on my lessons. The accommodation is not only clean, but also well-equipped, and the location is very good. The driving school was a little far away, but it was still only a 5 minute bus ride, so I didn't have any problems commuting. The most important part is the training, but there is a strict schedule and if you follow the training schedule, you will be able to graduate without any problems.

I went to Driving Camp with a plan that included meals.
The dormitory was about a 5-minute walk from the school, and it was really clean. My room was a private room with a shower and toilet (other buildings seem to have shared rooms and shared baths). The food was also delicious, with free refills of rice and miso soup!
The dorm mother was a very kind and lovely person.
Some of the instructors were harsh, but they also praised the good things I did, so I guess it was okay.
Also, if you go in the snowy season, it might be a good idea to bring rain boots. I ended up having to buy some at the last minute.
And just seeing the large class 2 driving school car with 3 doors and blue ribbons got me excited haha. That's irresistible for old car lovers and bus nerds haha.

This may be normal since it's Driving Camp, but there is very little time to spare.
The schedule is packed, so to be honest I felt quite stressed until I got used to this lifestyle.
Even when I finally finish one lesson, it's always hectic because the next one has to start right away.
But the instructors were all very kind and the instruction was easy to understand.
I don't know about other schools, but I thought it might be a high-level driving school.
The accommodation is a normal apartment.
The rooms were not luxurious, but the location was convenient and the living environment was excellent.
I was also happy that there was a convenience store nearby.
Thanks to the very stable living environment, I was able to have a very fulfilling Driving Camp.

I went there for a training camp in mid-February. There was a lot of snow and the sidewalks were covered in snow, making it difficult to walk, but there was a shuttle bus so I was able to get there comfortably. I had an image of the instructors being scarier, but some of them talked a lot and tried to ease my tension, so I was able to drive relaxed. What I particularly liked was the sky. When the snow melted in March and I couldn't find a good bus time, I walked to the driving school, and the sunset was reflected in the big puddle that the snow had melted, which was very beautiful. There were few tall buildings around, so the sky looked very beautiful, and I loved walking in the relaxed atmosphere with the snow-covered mountains in the distance. There was a convenience store and Aeon within a few minutes' walk from the accommodation, so it was very convenient because everything was available. At first, I was worried about staying in a place that seemed just cold and inconvenient for two weeks, but it was so comfortable that I rarely wanted to go home. I don't know what the environment is like at other license training camps, but I'm glad I came here.

The only disappointing thing was that the lobby on the first floor was very cold. Even though it was for ventilation purposes due to COVID-19, the air outside was cold and my feet got very cold.
The food in the cafeteria was very delicious and I love eating, so it was fun to be able to try different things every day, but the portions were a little too much for a woman.

I thought it was a driving school with a very solid living environment. I was imagining a more disappointing training camp life, but it turned out to be very fun and comfortable. The lessons were difficult at times, but the instructors explained things in an easy-to-understand manner over and over again, so I was able to successfully graduate. Of course, I was able to graduate within the time period and get my license right away. There are many options for training camps, but I'm really glad I chose this one.

The impression is not that bad. The atmosphere at the driving school was nice, and I have no complaints about the accommodation. The food was also delicious. There were many different instructors, but they were all generally kind. The same goes for the staff. It took about half a month to graduate. I'm glad that I got my license in about two weeks. It seems that commuting to school often costs more than twice this amount, so I'm glad I got Driving Camp.

Participant is 34 years old and from Saitama.
I was worried because it was so cheap, but it was great.
We stayed at Route Inn, but the lunch at N Village was delicious.
Since I usually live alone and just microwave food from the wholesale supermarket, it was a pleasure to have freshly cooked warm meals every day.
During the training camp I became interested in Niigata, and after graduating I spent two days sightseeing there.

Shibata Self-Defense Forces Camp Museum
Marinepia Aquarium
B-class Italian gourmet food at Niigata Station
Ramen in Tsubame-Sanjo
Roadside Station
Shibata's Omon Sake Brewery's sake resort facility
The sake brewery of Echigo Kanbai, famous for the manga Abusan

During my training period, I also ate a variety of other dishes, including sauce cutlet rice bowl.
Oh, and Tsukioka Onsen too. The water is very nice.

Good day everyone!!!

I received my Class 2 large vehicle license from Tokyo in early spring.
I was able to graduate successfully and on time.
I learned a lot from the traffic conditions in Shibata, as they are very different from those in Tokyo.

Shibata has little traffic, and there are very few pedestrians and cyclists. In a way, you can concentrate on driving.

However, the road lessons at night were scary.
Even though it was early spring in Niigata, it was snowing every day. Moreover, there were many places without street lights.
As I was driving through the fields, the snow made it hard to see, there were no street lights, and I had no idea which part of the lane I was in.
The instructor kept telling me "You're going to fall!" so I looked at the tires in the side mirror, but I couldn't see the mirrors or the lane lines because of the snow...

I was truly prepared to die.
I managed to finish the race, but the blizzard and lack of street lights were a big hurdle for a beginner with a large bike.

There were many good teachers in the classes.
Instead of getting angry, they will carefully explain to you what you are doing wrong.
And when I started to get tired towards the end of the lesson, even a casual comment was a great encouragement.
"It's much better than it was at first."
etc.

He also listened to my weaknesses and let me practice when I came home from the streets.
This was a great help as I was not good at clutch operation.

I also took the regular car and motorcycle driving tests at other training camps, but there were some teachers who were quite rough with their language (laughs).
Especially when I took the motorcycle test in Ibaraki, there were a lot of instructors who yelled at me (laughs).

I'm glad I got my driver's license in Nishi-Shibata.
I would like to thank everyone: the teachers, the female reception staff, the staff at N Village who prepared the delicious lunch for us, and the driver who picked us up and dropped us off every day.

P.S. A pork cutlet restaurant near Route Inn Shibata
"Tonkis" is delicious, especially the Niigata specialty, tarekatsudon.
It is run by a taciturn chef and a kind proprietress.
The bus curry at Niigata Station is also great.

It was neither good nor bad. In short, it was average. It was my first time to get a license and my first time at a driving school. Some of Patient Instructors and kind, but some had a rather strict tone, and some I didn't want to be taught by them again. Anyway, there was a big difference.

I went there for a training camp, but if you are staying at Pension Petit Casadera, be careful. Compared to other hotels, it is extremely far away, about a 2-hour walk away, so on days when you have free time, you will be really bored. You will be bored to a level that is not like being bored at home during summer vacation. There is an Aeon near the driving school, but in the summer, it is hot to travel there and you will sweat a lot. And most of all, the Aeon there is a "THE local Aeon" feeling, and there are not many stores, so you will get bored quickly. If you stay here, I recommend studying at Starbucks or cooling off at the food court to kill your free time. By the way, I was really really really bored, so I enjoyed the arcade.

Also, in the initial orientation, I was told, "If you don't study hard, you will fail," which I felt was a bit harsh and threatening. Well, I guess it's a matter of how you interpret it. But there really is a lot to remember, and I think studying is really important, just as they said at that time. They often say that there is a lot of free time at Driving Camp, but I didn't think that at all. I was filled with anxiety because of these words.

I guess every driving school is like this, but if you're going to a place with a low rating, it might be better to choose this driving school. Considering the low price, it seems conscientious.
If you are going here for a training camp, make sure to study hard when the training camp starts. I'm sure you've never been out of your house for two weeks before. It's your first time experiencing something like that, sleeping, eating and living in an unfamiliar place... I'm sure you'll be very tired at the beginning. I recommend that you rest your body well and get enough sleep.

I was a little depressed at first because I had so little time, but my instructor was kind and fun, so I was able to enjoy the lesson itself.
Not everything was easy, but in the end I was able to graduate on time, so I was all right.
The accommodation was for women only, so I felt safe and secure there.
This way, even if you are a woman attending alone you can feel at ease and concentrate on your lessons.
The plan included three meals, which were homemade and very delicious.
After all, delicious food makes everyday life more enjoyable!

Thank you for your help during the training camp.

The instructors were strict and kind depending on the person, but no one was unreasonable. I think there were more nice people than at other driving schools. The details of the course and the teaching method are subtly changed depending on the person, so I think it's easy for people who are not confident in driving to attend.

The accommodation was neither good nor bad. The facilities were quite complete, so that was good. Lunch was also delicious on weekdays. There were supermarkets and Aeon stores near the driving school, so I didn't have any trouble during the camp. However, since it's in the outskirts of Shibata, you can't really expect to go out and have fun after class.

The price will vary depending on the time of year, but you can attend the training camp for around 220,000 yen, so overall I would highly recommend it.

Your teaching life will be packed with schedules. However, you will be able to graduate earlier, so it's not a problem at all. The accommodation is a normal apartment. It didn't feel that different from the room I usually live in, so it wasn't bad. However, the walls were a little thin and I could hear a lot of noise from other rooms. But it's not so bad that I can't sleep. The instructors weren't particularly scary or anything like that, and the atmosphere at the school was nice.
