Japanese translation of foreign driver Driver's License
If you have a foreign driver Driver's License, you can drive a car in Japan by simply going through the procedure called "gaimen kakari" (changing your foreign driver's license) at the driver's license center in your prefecture.
Starting in April 2021, our company has started issuing "Japanese translations," which are essential documents for switching your foreign driver's license!
*Our translation services are limited to the United States (50 states and Washington DC), China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, the Philippines, Ukraine (if the content is in English), and Myanmar.
About applying for Japanese translation
All applications for Japanese translations are accepted through ZIPLUS's Foreign License Switching Service.
With this service, there is no need to go through any procedures at a counter, and you can easily apply online 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Payment by credit card is also accepted.
The translation will be completed in approximately 3-4 days after your translation request.

Convenience store printing service launched
In addition to the current Letter Pack delivery service, from November 2023 it will now be possible to print translations at convenience stores.
Translations can be easily issued at FamilyMart, Lawson, and Poplar stores nationwide.
