2. Model schedule during the training camp period
This is a sample schedule for Regular Manual and three meals included. The school will plan the process from enrollment to receiving your graduation certificate, as explained above, in about two weeks. Lessons start on the first day, so be sure to dress appropriately. There is a limit to the number of lessons you can take in a day, so there is plenty of free time, so it doesn't seem like a very hard schedule! If there are any tourist attractions or leisure facilities nearby, you can also go and enjoy them.
However, if you fail the written exam or skills test, the length of your stay may be extended, so please enroll well in advance.
Now, let's get to the point.
[2] Three tips to graduate in the shortest time possible!
Three strategies are key to graduating within the period. In fact, many people ask us, "Is it possible to graduate within this period?" when applying. In fact, on average, about 20% of students are unable to pass within the minimum period of time and end up staying longer, increasing the number of students who graduate.
The three main causes are as follows.
- Fail the skill test (failure rate: 10-12%)
- Fail the written exam (failure rate: 5-10%)
- Physical condition management, tardiness, absence (failure rate: 3-5%)
1. Fail the skill test
There are two types of skill tests Driving Test conducted at a driving school's on-site course and Final Driving Test conducted on public roads. If I fail here, there is a high possibility that I will have to stay longer, so I would like to pass the exam on the first try.
Check out the videos for difficult assignments!
Many people fail the practical test because they are unable to clear the difficult parts. Check the videos for the problems you are weak at and practice them in your mind.
There are steps you'll want to remember for S-curves, cranks, direction changes, and parallel parking, so check out this video for a refresher.
- S-shaped course (leftward) (rightward)
- crank
- Direction change (leftward) (rightward)
- parallel parking
Some driving schools hold Driving Test / Final Driving Test every day, while others hold Driving Test on Mondays and Thursdays, and Final Driving Test on Tuesdays and Fridays. In the latter case, once you fail the test, you may have to wait 1 to 3 days until the next test date. This varies depending on each prefecture and driving school, so we recommend checking the test implementation date when choosing a driving school.
2. Fail the written exam
Approximately midway through your studies, there is a written exam to conclude the first stage. You will only take the written exam once during your enrollment, this provisional academic exam. Please aim to pass on the first try no matter what.
Tips and last-minute measures for academic problems!
We have compiled tips and last-minute strategies for the academic questions at driving schools. The following article lists 16 items and problems that are easy to get wrong. We have listed items that you should review just before the test day, so please use them until you pass.
Tips and last-minute measures for academic questions at driving schools | 16 items to immediately improve your score
In fact, some Karimenkyo Written Test schools set provisional license exams on different days of the week instead of holding them every day. In addition, this "provisional driver's Driver's License (provisional license)" is issued at the driver's license center or the local police station. Therefore, even if the driving school is open, if the police are unable to issue documents due to holidays or other reasons, the transition to the second stage will be delayed, so please be careful.
3.2 weeks of long-term living, taking good care of your health
In particular, since the training camp is a two-week long stay, students must take good care of their physical condition in order to graduate within the training camp. Normally, driving schools schedule daily Driving Lessons and academic training so that students can graduate in the shortest possible time. Please be aware that if you are unable to take even one class of this, you will not be able to graduate within the specified period. In particular, if you are planning to attend Driving Camp during spring break when influenza is prevalent, we strongly recommend that you get a flu vaccination before enrolling. If you contract a highly contagious illness such as influenza, your driving school may ask you to return home temporarily.
[3] What to do if you cannot graduate in the shortest time!
There are many students who are unable to graduate within the specified period. Here we will explain what to do next for such people.
Are there any additional costs?
As a general rule, if you fail the practical test or the written test, you will have to stay for one or more days, but there is usually no additional cost. Most Driving Camp plans are guaranteed until graduation. Be sure to check the guarantee details in advance. There are many driving schools that do not have this restriction in cases such as age requirements, if the accommodation facility is a hotel, or if you fail the written test consecutively.
If you have to interrupt your lesson due to unavoidable commitments, you have the following options:
1. Temporary return home
I will stop my lessons, go home temporarily, finish my errands, and then resume my lessons. Please consult with the driving school in advance. Especially when planning graduation ceremonies, etc., it is a good idea to get permission from the driving school in advance. Please note that the training course is valid for 9 months. As mentioned above, you must complete the entire course of Driving Lessons and academic training within nine months from the start of training.
2. Transfer to a local driving school
If it is difficult to make plans after that and it is difficult to restart at a training camp, it is possible to transfer to a local driving school. However, in this case, you will have to go through the re-admission procedure at the school you are transferring to, so the cost is often higher. Also, if you are not familiar with the training environment, you may feel anxious about operating the training vehicle and the course you will be traveling on.
