If the municipal office where you have registered your residence is far away, it is possible to request your Certificate of Residence (Juminhyo) by mail. One thing to note is that you need to include a return envelope so that the document can be sent back to you. Although you will have to pay the postage for both sending and receiving the documents, it is cheaper and more convenient when you consider the transportation costs to the municipal office, especially for those who only have weekends off.

1.2. Identification documents other than resident registration (for those who do not have a driver's license)

An original of one of the above items is required. Please note that copying is not permitted. Also, it cannot be used unless the address on the resident card and these identification documents are the same. 1.3.Glasses/Contacts

A visual acuity test will be conducted on the first day of school. If the child's visual acuity does not meet the regulations at that time, he or she will be refused entry and sent home. If you are unsure, please be sure to check that your eyesight meets the requirements below before entering the school, and bring glasses or contacts if necessary. Please note that colored contacts are not permitted.

1.4. Seal

Please prepare a seal to be used with red ink. Shachihata stamps, rubber stamps, and refillable ink stamps are not acceptable. You will be required to stamp three times in total: on the pledge form when you enroll, on the receipt stamp after your provisional driver's license is issued, and when Transportation Expenses Provided at graduation.

1.5. Driver's license (if you have one)

If you have a driver's license, please be sure to bring it with you. Expired licenses and copies are not acceptable. This also applies if your license will expire while you are enrolled in school. Please bring it after updating it. Also, if the address on your driver's license and the address on your resident's card are different, please change them to the same address before enrolling.

1.6.Cash

While you might be able to use an IC card for train fares to the training camp, some schools require you to pay necessary expenses in cash on the day of the trip.
Also, since some shops may not accept credit cards or QR code payments, it's a good idea to have at least some cash on hand.

1.7.Credit card/electronic money

Sometimes you need to buy something but can't afford it with the cash you have on hand! That's when a credit card comes in handy. Always carry one with you.

1.8.Mobile phones/smartphones
