I was looking forward to Driving Camp. Part of the fun of traveling is thinking about things like what to do at the training camp and what to wear while packing. However, even if your wardrobe is perfect, if you forget your wallet or your daily medicines, you won't be able to survive.
So in this article,
・A checklist of essential items you need to bring with you
・Items that will make your life more comfortable and convenient
I'd like to introduce_______
Use our checklist to ensure you are perfectly prepared for your trip.

1. 15 essential items to bring to Driving Camp: These are all you need!
First of all, there are five essential items you must bring when enrolling in a driving school.
Here, I will explain each of these items in detail.
1.1.Residence card
This residence card is required when entering the driving school. It is required not only for training camps but also for students who attend school.
Q: Where can I get it?
A: Get it at your city/ward/town hall!
The acquisition of a resident registration card is managed by the city hall (city hall, ward office, town hall) of the city, ward, town, or village where the resident registration is kept. You can obtain one by going to the citizen's affairs division or family registry division and submitting your identification (passport, personal number card, etc.).
Q: If I haven't transferred my residence registration to my current address, do I really need to move a long distance?
A: Have it mailed to you from the city/town/village office where your resident registration is kept!
Q: The start date is approaching, but I don't have time to go to the government office because of work!
A: Get it at a convenience store!
Amazing! Nowadays, you can get a residence certificate at a convenience store!
It's convenient because you can easily get it from anywhere and you don't have to worry about the time or day of the week.
Please note that you will need either your My Number Card or Basic Resident Registration Card to obtain your card at a convenience store.
*Due to the issuance of My Number Cards, new issuance of Basic Resident Registration Cards has ended after December 2015.
*Note regarding resident registration.
Originals are required (copies not accepted).
The document must be issued within the last three months and must be from your own name only.
Your resident registration card does not need to include your personal number (My Number). Please obtain one that does not include your personal number.
If you are a foreign national, you will need a residence certificate indicating your nationality, etc.
There are some driving schools that require you to mail the documents to the school before enrolling.
You will take the driving test at the driver's license center in your registered address.
You can also get it from your family.
1.2.Identification documents other than resident card (for those who do not have a driver's Driver's License)
An identity verification document is a document that proves your identity. Generally speaking, it refers to things like a driver Driver's License or passport, but people who are about to get a driver's license naturally do not have Driver's License, and many minors do not have a passport issued.
Is this identity verification document correct in the address written on the official document issued by the driving school (temporary driver Driver's License, graduation certificate)? This is a document to reconfirm.
For example, in order to prevent incidents in which someone other than the student enters the school pretending to be the student, the driving school always verifies the student's identity.
Importantly, we confirm that the name, date of birth, and address listed on the resident record are the same as the identity verification documents below. Please check them thoroughly and bring them to the driving school.
This identity verification document is required at the time of enrollment. If you forget to bring it, you will not be able to enter the school.

1.3.Glasses/Contacts
A visual acuity test will be conducted on the first day of school. If the child's visual acuity does not meet the regulations at that time, he or she will be refused entry and sent home. If you are unsure, please be sure to check that your eyesight meets the requirements below before entering the school, and bring glasses or contacts if necessary. Please note that colored contacts are not permitted.

1.4. Seal
Please prepare a seal to be stamped using vermilion. Shachihata, rubber stamps, and ink refill types are not accepted. Students will be stamped about three times: when they enroll in the school, they will sign a pledge, when they receive their provisional driver Driver's License, they will receive a receipt stamp, and when Transportation Expenses Provided upon graduation.
1.5. Driving Driver's License (only for those who have it)
If you have a driver's Driver's License, please be sure to bring it with you. Expired items and copies are not accepted. The same applies if the deadline expires while you are enrolled in school. Please update it and bring it with you. Additionally, if the address on your driver's Driver's License and residence card are different, please change the address to the same address before entering the school.
1.6.Cash
You can't do anything without cash. There are still many stores in Japan that don't accept credit cards or electronic money payments. The number of ATMs at banks and convenience stores has increased, but they can charge high fees or not accept your cash card, so it's safer to prepare cash in advance.
1.7.Credit card/electronic money
When you come across something you want while traveling, but you can't buy it with just the cash you have, having a credit card is a great idea. Make sure you carry one with you.
1.8.Mobile phones/smartphones
You don't want to be overwhelmed by phone calls at your camp, but having a cell phone is a great way to call a store, make a separate trip from your companions, and of course as a means of emergency contact. Also, if you have train or airplane ticketless services or electronic coupons stored on an electronic device, don't forget them.
1.9.Charger
With the spread of mobile phones, chargers have become a must-have item when traveling. It's even better if you have a spare battery. Always carry one in your carry-on luggage.
1.10.Student ID
If you are a student, please bring your student ID card with you as you may be able to get discounts in unexpected places.
1.11. Regular medicines (gastrointestinal medicines, headache medicines, cold medicines, motion sickness medicine, pills, etc.)
If you take medicine every day, bring enough for the number of days you take it. We also recommend bringing your usual cold medicine, stomach medicine, motion sickness medicine, etc., just in case something happens.
1.12.Mask
Masks have become essential when going out. If you carry a few disposable masks for the number of days you will be away from home, as well as spare cloth masks, you won't have to panic if you lose one while traveling.
1.13.Underwear/socks/change of clothes
Underwear that you'll want to carry for several days so you can spend every day comfortably. If you carry an extra set, you can easily change into clothes when you sweat, get caught in the rain, or stop by a hot spring.
If you normally wear stockings, you may be surprised at how easily you forget to bring socks, but it's a good idea to keep a pair in your bag to keep you comfortable when the room is a little cold.
1.14.Cosmetics and toiletries
Cosmetics, shaving supplies, toothpaste sets, etc. Some inns keep items in the guest rooms, but you can also bring items that you like and use. It is also a good idea for women to prepare sanitary products.
1.15. Extra edition: House key
Few people forget to hang their keys when they go out, but some people end up turning their bags upside down when they get home with a lot of souvenirs and wonder, "Where did I put my keys...?" Of course, you want to remember them, but since they're things you won't use while traveling, you want to decide on a fixed location that's easy to get to and won't get in the way.
2. Checklist of things you want to bring with you
From here on, we will pick out some items that you can have extra to make your trip even more comfortable. ZIPLUS Editorial Department's Driver's License Concierge will first introduce in bullet points the items that he felt were "I wish I had this!" or "I'm glad I had this!"
2.1. Hygienic and safe
・Handkerchief・Pocket tissue・Wet tissue
Many people carry a set with them as part of their daily grooming routine, but they are even more useful when traveling. You can use the handkerchief as a scarf when it's a little cold, or to stop bleeding in an emergency. If you also have wet tissues, they will come in handy when you want to have a light meal at the dining hall at your training camp.
・Portable disinfectant goods/mask spray
Alcohol disinfection and sterilization have become essential to prevent infectious diseases. There are a variety of portable hand gels and sprays on the market, so it's a good idea to have one on hand.
Mask spray is also a convenient travel item that can be sprayed onto your mask to disinfect, deodorize, and refresh it.
・Plastic bag ・Plastic bag with zipper
Plastic bags are useful when you want to temporarily store dirty or wet items, or when you want to collect trash. When you're traveling, it's a good idea to have your groceries put in paid plastic bags when you go shopping and use those.
In addition, zippered plastic bags are useful when you want to carry cut fruits or sweets in small portions, or when you buy items that are prone to spillage, or soaps that may have other scents as souvenirs.
・Room shoes
More and more hotels are now providing disposable slippers in the rooms, but just in case, it's a good idea to bring your own room shoes for hygiene and protection from the cold, which will increase your comfort. Beach sandals are also useful.
2.2. Electronic Equipment
・Mobile battery
·watch
With the advent of mobile phones, watches have increasingly become a fashion item in daily life. However, when traveling, it's a good idea to remember to carry one for the convenience of being able to tell the time at a glance and to conserve your phone's battery.
If you are buying a new watch to take on a trip, we recommend a radio-controlled solar-powered watch, which does not require battery replacement or time adjustment.
・Power strip
A power strip is used to increase the number of sockets in one place. The older the building, the fewer indoor sockets there are, so having one makes things stress-free for people who carry a lot of mobile devices or when sharing a room with several people.
・Small eco bag/clutch bag
When having breakfast at a hotel or going out for dinner, a small eco bag or clutch bag that can hold only your valuables, cell phone, and room key will make you look smart. It can also be used as a sub-bag when your luggage increases with souvenirs, etc.
・Stole・Haori
Many people feel cold in public transportation and restaurants because the air conditioning is too strong. It's a good idea to have a scarf or light jacket on hand for times like these. You can use it to protect yourself from sudden rain or to cover the seat of a cold chair.
・Cameras/memory cards/batteries/chargers
・Selfie sticks and tripods
2.3. Helpful in times of emergency
・Itinerary
・Maps and guidebooks
・Notebooks/writing implements
・Eco bag ・Clutch bag
・Shawls and outerwear
・Bandages (for blisters, cuts, etc.)
・Throat lozenges/sweets (to keep the throat moist, to relieve hunger)
・Gum (for drowsiness and bad breath)
・S-hook
・Compression bags/laundry nets (wash as soon as you get home)
・Souvenir list (make one)
・Courier delivery slip (for home use)
・Clear files (for storing pamphlets, receipts, etc.)
2.4. It's comfortable/cozy
・Water bottle/tea bag
The number of people who use ``My Water Bottle'' on a daily basis is increasing. Why not bring a water bottle with you on your trip and carry some tea brewed at your hotel with you? If you bring a water bottle with an insulating function, you can use it as a pot when you want to slowly drink a hot drink in your room.
・Earphones・Music player
The longer the trip, the more music becomes a source of comfort. It is recommended to choose an album that matches the destination and link the BGM with the destination. That music will become the theme song of the trip even after you return home. In addition to these "sounds of the trip," I also enjoy deciding on the "scent of the trip."
・Earplugs/eye mask/neck pillow
Useful when you are traveling alone and the conversations around you are jarring. You can also sleep without worrying about noise when using night trains or buses, or when you are concerned about noise from the next room at the hotel. However, please be careful not to oversleep or oversleep.
・Mini humidifier
・Aroma/fragrant products
・Bath additives
・Pajamas
Books
2.5. According to the season and destination
·rain gear
Some people don't even carry an umbrella because they pray for clear skies, but if you're on the safe side and have a lightweight folding umbrella or raincoat, you can be active even on rainy days. A poncho-type raincoat is recommended because it will protect your bag or camera from the rain.
·sunglasses
You might think that sunglasses are useful in the summer, but even in the winter, when the afternoon sun is harsh, you may want to wear sunglasses. We recommend bringing it with you, especially if you are likely to be driving.
·hat
Swimsuit
If the hotel you're staying at has a pool, be sure to bring your swimsuit. Since you are in the middle of your trip, why not take some time to refresh yourself?
・Sunscreen
・Insect repellent/anti-itch
・Cooling sheets/antiperspirants
・Heat packs/heat pads
・Replacement shoes
Shoes can make or break your tiredness during a trip. If you are traveling domestically for 3 nights or more, we recommend bringing a spare pair of shoes. Not only can they make a big difference in how tired you feel, but they also make it easier to walk around in the rain and with water.
Print out these 40 types of items and mark off the ones you need for your trip, and you'll be able to pack with peace of mind.
Please refer to the following information as it can be used in situations unique to driving schools.
3. It's easy to overlook. Be careful!
3.1.Clothing/Shoes
Bring enough clothes so that you can wear them multiple times, as they can be washed at the laundry. It's a good idea to check whether the accommodation has a clothesline and hangers.
Don't forget your sleepwear and warm clothes!
<Appropriate and unsuitable clothing for lessons>

◎: Comfortable clothes
✖:ダボダボした服

3.2. Those taking motorcycle lessons
Helmet
Although rental helmets may be available at driving schools, hygiene and odors are a concern. We recommend that you bring your own. Please use either a full-face or jet-type helmet (one with a chin strap).
*Half caps and construction safety hats are not permitted.
- rain gear
- long sleeves long pants
- glove
Rider's gloves and leather gloves are recommended.
*Some driving schools do not allow thick items such as gloves or ski equipment.
3.3. Self Cook
There are basic cooking utensils, but no food ingredients for hygienic reasons.
I recommend bringing small amounts of seasoning with you.

4. Preparation to enjoy Driving Camp 10 times more
Driving Camp are a place where people from all over the country gather and spend a few days together with the same goal of getting a license, so it's also a place to meet new people. Why not take this opportunity to make friends with people you normally wouldn't get along with, or get close to the opposite sex and find a lover?
Now that you know what items you absolutely must bring, in this chapter we will introduce some activities you can do in your free time to make the most of your driving license training camp!
4.1.Smartphone game edition
werewolf game
This is a party game where you can enjoy psychological warfare with a group of 5 to 18 people. If you add this LINE account called Werewolf GM (LINE ID: @geu2750q) to the participant's LINE group, the game will progress. It might be an opportunity to exchange LINE with someone you've never met before!
Quick quiz for everyone
` `Minhaya'' is a quick-click quiz game that has recently become a hot topic. If you switch to friend mode, you can play against everyone. It's sure to be exciting because the questions are of an exquisite level! Let's use the quiz as an opportunity to expand the conversation.
Driving license Ordinary car license academic test question collection
This app allows you to study driving license written test questions in a quiz format. It is divided into 5 questions, so if you have a smartphone, you can use it while waiting for a while. It's also convenient to be able to check the questions you got wrong and review them. Make effective use of your free time to pass the academic exam!
4.2.Card game edition
The classic Old Woman, Nervous Breakdown, and Millionaire are good, but here we will introduce a slightly different game.
indian poker
Everyone takes a card from the deck and places it on their forehead so that they cannot see it.
・Everyone can see all the cards except their own.
・The strength of the cards is 1<2<…<12<13<JOKER
Next, a verbal exchange begins to find out your cards. Here you can tell the truth or lie to confuse the room. You can change your card up to three times depending on everyone's reactions. Once the conversation has progressed to a certain extent and no one wants to exchange cards, you all say "Ready, go, go!" and reveal your card. The winner is decided by the strength of your card at that point. Adding a penalty game might make things even more exciting!
Doubt
First, distribute the cards among the players. Players take turns declaring the number starting from "1" and then turn the cards over to play. The cards played can be different from the number declared, but if another player calls "doubt," the player must put all the cards played up to that point into their hand. Conversely, if "doubt" is called and the number of cards is the same as the number declared, the person who called it must put the cards into their hand. The first player to get rid of their cards wins.
It's a psychological battle that requires you to read the other person's facial expression, so you're sure to quickly become friends with them!
4.3. Leisure edition
If there are leisure facilities near the school where the license training camp is held, you can enjoy it in your free time!

If you forget something, you may be able to get it locally, so be sure to check out convenience stores, drug stores, supermarkets, etc. near your driving school or accommodation.
Also, during a long-term training camp, your luggage will inevitably increase. Some driving schools offer delivery services, so if you think you will have a lot of luggage, try using them. Be fully prepared and have a comfortable training camp life!
